Loket

The Loket castle is situated in the city of the same name in Western Bohemia.

It was built in the 12th century as a fortress. At the end of the Hussite Wars the castle was bought by the Šlik Family who initiated a reconstruction. The golden days of Loket castle lasted till the end of the 17th century. Later, it was used only as a store or prison. Nowadays, after complete reconstruction, the castle is open to public. There is also a museum with white ware collections.
